Building a successful singing career, requires a quality voice that can stand long rehearsals and produce high-level results musically and vocally.. After many years of vocal studies in Israel and Europe, covering many aspects of the human voice , israeli born mezzo- soprano Orna Tamir has developed her own way in voice tutoring providing effective immediate results as well as a long lasting vocal technique. Ms. Tamir is working with singers of different styles: classical and modern, opera and musical theatre , actors, synagogue cantors, pop singers and others focusing on the unique needs and special colour of each singer.

Orna is working with singers on English , French, Hebrew , Italian and German repertoire.

BIOGRAPHY

Israeli born mezzo - soprano Orna Tamir is highly acknowledged for her rich voice and wide repertoire ranging from French, Italian and German Opera to art songs, German Lieder and Broadway musicals. Being at home in both opera as well as concert music, Ms. Tamir has performed in various programs of mixed repertoire with few of the most highly acclaimed musicians in Israel.

A successful collaboration with the director of the educational program of the Israel
Philharmonic Orchestra, pianist Irit Rub led to a successive series of concerts with many of the principal players of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra as well as with other outstanding performers such as the Violinist Ilya Konovalov - Concertmaster of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Nitai Zori -Concertmaster of the The Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, pianist Boris

Giltburg First Prize Winner at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth competition 2013 in Brussels and many others.

Orna Tamir is a graduate of the Academy of Music at the University of Tel Aviv.
During her studies she appeared in many concerts and on the Radio, and took part in the international Opera Workshop in Tel- Aviv, led by musicians from the Metropolitan Opera.

Orna Tamir had also taken part in special concerts dedicated to Italian Opera and Italian repertoire sponsored by the Italian Embassy and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Israel.

She also took part in master classes and private training in Europe with artists such as the famous tenor Luigi Alva, bass Evgeny Nesterenko, bass Herman Polster, Ms. Tina Ruta (Covent Garden) and many others
